Ekaterinburg – June 15, 2007 – Uralsvyazinform (RTS: URSI/URSIP) the leading carrier of fixed-line and mobile services in the Urals region, Russia reports the results of the Annual General Meeting.
The shareholders approved the annual report, annual financial statements including profit and loss statement, and profit distribution as of FY2006, as below.

The Meeting approved the annual dividend as of 2006 at the below rates:
- RUR 0.026606 per one preferred share payable until August 14, 2007;
- RUR 0.016393 per one common share payable until December 15, 2007.
Overall, dividend payout will amount to RUR 737.9 mln, or 35.4% of net profit as of 2006. The rest of undistributed net profit in the amount of RUR 1,346.7 mln is used to increase the equity capital.
The AGM elected the Board of Directors consisting of 11 persons.

The AGM approved OOO Ernst and Young as the company auditor for 2007 (As recommended by the Board of Directors for approval at AGM following the tender to nominate the Auditor).
Other decisions
Other decisions included the approval of the amended Charter, and the re-editions of Holding Procedure of AGM, Regulations on the Board of Directors, Regulations on the Managing Board, and validated the amount of remuneration paid to the Board of Directors.
Summing up the Meeting’s results, Anatoly Ufimkin, CEO said, 'One of the most important attainments of 2006 is a breakthrough in sales of new services with revenue gains of 70% on the previous year. Winning the broadband market has become our priority. Over 2006, we increased the subscriber base in broadband 6.8 times from just 16.9 thous to 115.0 thous. For the year of 2007, we have set ourselves an ambitious task to reach 280 thousand subscribers. Our efforts in broadband market are key to the company’s well-being as broadband services are increasingly an important revenue driver and growth factor in general. Uralsvyazinform will use its advantages as a versatile operator to win this highly competitive market. Our plan is to offer the customers, residential and corporate, efficient and integrated solutions to manage their communications using voice, data, and media content. Our task is to offer a reliable exchange of traffic from and to the customers in their daily business, educational, creative and leisure activities'.
The first session of newly elected Board of Directors has nominated Evgeny Chechelnitsky, Deputy General Director of OAO ‘Svyazinvest’, the Board’s Chairman.
